These firms were profitable indeed, because the true risk was underwritten by the taxpayers. As for your "trust me" statement, I work for the IT industry, and you can trust me that whoever fed you the BS about "Y2K concerns being remediated years" ago may have been smoking some funny money. ggg. I'm sure that Wall St. will find some way to wiggle out of it as you did in Mexico, will in Russia, etc. LOL!
