Tom: "The real question is are they [Formosa Plastics] going to use NIMH at all. They have been exploring the use of another battery chemistry that was licensed after the NIMH chemistry." A year ago or so a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics and a Chinese company together took out a license to use EVRC's Ni-Zn battery technology for EV and HEV applications. I get the impression, though, that it is still in an early phase of testing, and is not expected to commit to any particular battery for a while yet.
