A tad OT from Stay

Most of this is gut feeling with little supporting research.

Internet wave - When I say this I don't mean to imply that there will be nothing left when it crashes. It will be a fraction of what it is today. Of course, the benefit of being worth 10's of billions of dollars is that you are still worth billions of dollars even in the worst correction.

Another thing to keep in mind, from the company side of life, revenue is always good. Forget model this or model that. You still have to pay the employees. For an over-valued company there is only so long that they can pay employees by selling stock. I'm not saying that they shouldn't use stock generated cash. I'm saying that there should be some long term revenue generated from the cash you spend today.

Another way to look at it is if you are an over-valued company then you should take advantage of it and use it to generate more future revenue. Maybe by buying a competitor.

If your whole industry is over-valued then the best deal for future revenue would be found outside your industry.

As far as the wisdom of involving doctors in any healthcare company I would have to agree with you; involving doctors is a better way to do it. However, I don't think those highly educated doctors have done so well against the insurance companies.
