Ramsey Su: Nice observation: The COX report is equally bogus if one simply use common sense. We have such a damaging spy case and we have arrested not one single spy? Why? Because arresting anyone would involve our legal system and presumption of innocence until proven guilty. It is much easier to bash without the need of proof ... The Republicans have found a big stick and are quite happy to bash Clinton and the other Democrats over the head with it - without knowing whose stick it really is. The Republicans are all over Janet Reno due to her alleged failure to corral the mess years ago and prosecute someone. They sit up there and wail about how Janet should step down due to her shortcomings. All the while they are comfy in the knowledge that she must clear a much higher hurdle. Accusations are not enough. Merely quoting a source commenting that " The security was at a very poor level of performance and poor taste " is not enough. She has to address the legal concerns of the case. She has publicly stated that there is not enough evidence to prosecute anyone. At least we can take consolation in the idea that at least someone pretends not to be playing a political game with all this. It really sticks in the Republicans craw that they cant get the upperhand against Clinton, despite all his wonderings. They once again are missing the best angle they could have on this issue. They need to spin this event as an economic failure on the part of the Democrats. The Democrats are moving too slow in opening up trade with everyone! The economy is the big concern, people all over the world are happy when things are good. A rising tide lifts all boats. Make them think that the Democratic actions will cost them, and they will get fired up about it. Jeff Vayda
