That's true, but it happens just the same at the retailers. I cancelled my order with Multiwave for SB v.1 after I read the microsoft web-site info. Definitely pays to be informed. (Unless you're a day-trader of course).

With the full version of Office 97, I think the service packs are downloadable, so the version doesn't matter. I'm sure I won't be eligible for the 2000 upgrade, but I'll just buy one when it comes out -- I'll be interested to see the prices on ebay.
