Hi J.T.,..Re:.Eco Data

Thanks JT, always glad to know it's useful. <g> Today's data listed below. The consumer is still enthusiastic but home sales fell a bit. The NAR says the drop-off is probably due to the creep up of long rates but I wonder if it doesn't also have to do with some pretty heavy weather in lots of the country. Who knows! We'll see if the rates keep the buyers away this month, maybe they were just taking a breather from Easter shopping.<g>

Existing Home Sales for April = -3.3% to 5.42m

nar.realtor.com
The seasonally adjusted annual rate* of existing-home sales
dropped 3.3 percent in April to 5.24 million units from a level of
5.42 million units in March. Last month's resales were 6.3 percent
above the 4.93-million unit rate recorded in April 1998.

Conference Board Consumer Sentiment for May = 135.8

crc-conquest.org
May 25 . . . Consumer confidence again edged up in May, The
Conference Board reports today. This marks the seventh consecutive
monthly gain, the longest uptrend in the 32-year history of the survey.

Thanks for your heads-up on some danger signals.

Good Trading,

Lee
