Not at all LindyBill and it isn't a conspiracy theory. A military action against China needs no conspiracy theory. You are naive beyond belief if you think that the military disclose for the crazy world of Jerry Springer, Oprah and the flakiness of LindyHoppers in California and DisneyWorld dreamers all of their operations and the reasons for them. The Chinese do not believe it was an aw shucks mistake.
As WMolloy says, your other option is unbelievable stupidity, ignorance and incompetence by your NSA, CIA, Air Force in the field, Pentagon, map makers and Xena Albright's lot. That doesn't look a very choice option either. You can prance around your dance floor and pretend all is hunky dory, but when a half a billion Chinese get a downer on the USA, you can be sure it will cost the USA something. [Allowing for maybe half the Chinese not knowing anything about it and some even glad their government got a bomb].
Not long before the French Revolution, the powerful aristocrats thought they could prance and dance and let the masses eat cake while they casually disposed of their lives. It's an eternal story and it hasn't finished playing yet.
If it's a tragic accident, the USA will offer compensation. If not, they will do a Clintonesque lip-biting look of forlorn sorrow, seeking solace in the bible while eyeing up the next girl in the line.

I'd be delighted if it was an accident and it possibly was. As SurferM has said, one should not bet too heavily on military intelligence.
