Bill, I'll buy that. I am sure that it retains its luster for many, especially because of its affluent associations. By the way, my wife came from the section of Kansas City known as the Country Club District. Her parents never coughed up the dough to join one (I don't know that they could have), but they had various friends who belonged to some of the more modest ones. As far as she could tell, they mostly entertained there, the sports stuff was mainly for show....
