<<The fact is that the Internet reaches only about 1% of the world's population, and it needs to go to 100%. >>

Who says it needs to go to 100 percent? It will go where demand takes it.

We've had television for over 50 years. A wireless broadcast technology that worldwide has only reached about 60 percent of the polulation or less.

VCRs have even less penetration worldwide and in the US, VCRs are around 70 percent.

There will be internet growth. But it will be a slow process governed by the laws of physics, natural resources and manpower. The internet has been moving at full tilt for at least four years now and all we got is 1 percent of the world?

At that rate we should hit 100 percent in 369 years.

Just keep in mind, not everyone will have and want it. Only the Uberclass gets it.
