DJ Amazon.com Acquires 2 Ky. Distribution Facilities SEATTLE (Dow Jones)--Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) acquired two distribution facilities in Kentucky that will allow the company to reduce shipping times to the Midwest. Financial terms weren't disclosed. In a press release Tuesday, the online retailer said the distribution facilities are in Campbellsville, Ky., and Lexington, Ky. Within two years, Amazon.com expects to employ 1,000 at Campbellsville and 500 people at Lexington.
