Glad to see a message Board for HMSY. I recently bought back in after owning in the past and am hoping the trend is now up. I was disappointed today, however. I hope you don't mind, but I thought the following was interesting. It comes from the Motley Fool:

I think it is an example of them showing the investor community that they have lots of cash and they are an ok bet. I think the game here is the insiders purposely let the price tank, bought LOTS of call option contracts and now are slowing letting the word out that all is OK (which will help the price increase) so as not to be too obvious. I know these guys, used to work there, they are SHREWD!!! Also, I see many complex products in their
portfolio, can't see how this one will help...feel like they are losing focus...but KNOW that this is a good buy right now...All we need is one major analyst to say "buy" and this puppy will take off. No analysts are saying anything because the ML analyst screwed up a few months ago and said BUY at 27 and it tanked to 17 thereafter, now the Street analysts are scared to place a bet...that's my call...see ya at 20!!!

JPVMPH don't be ridculous. You say:

Yeah and they planned this all with Elvis Presley who is secretly running the company. Where do you come up with these rediculous ideas? I don't care how shrewd the management is, there is no way they could orchestrate something as rediculous as you say they did. The stock tanked because the company had some billing disputes with some major clients and because for the last couple quarters they haven't met their earnings projections.

The CEO of the company owns close to 900,000 shares of the company stock which means the value of his shares have decreased over $25 million in value since the stock peaked at $37 per share. I don't think anyone would purposely manipulate a stock and risk losing that amount of money.

HMSY is going through a transition year and if anyone is looking to make any money off this stock you better look long term. There is no quick fix happening here and there is no conspiracy to manipulate the value of the stock. And to suggest that is ludicrous.

1. FACT: I used to work there and I know these guys far better than you
2. FACT: They PURPOSELY kept stockholders in the dark by NOT sending out ANY communication for MONTHS
3. FACT: There has been tons of insider buying at 8 or so
4. I still feel they could have minimized the tank and chose not to
5. FACT: There Investor Relations dept. has been VERY closed mouthed
6. I am WELL aware of why the stock tanked -- that's why I bought 125,000 !!!!! No need to tell me what happened, I was there.
7. I'm not saying they caused the drop, I'm saying they minimized the rebound and took advantage of the fall!!!
8. You are entitled to you opinions, but please, don't lecture me on this or any other stock, I'm an Ivy League B-School grad and a fomer analyst myself...I KNOW what I am saying...try being constructive next time...
9. Was your signon -- WizeEye or WizeGUY????

In response to your comments on Insider rading. If you will take the time to review the latest Vickers Insider Trading Report you will find there was excessive selling in May June July August prior to the Nov Problem with HHC and shortly after in DEC, JAN, FEB March considerable buying has beeen going on consistently by insiders. As late as 1/14/97-1/16/97 the CEO sold 25,000 shares immmediately before the stock fell down the tubes. If you
look at the Insider Trading Report and go back to 1992 1993 the same buying was going on in early 1993 and late 1992. As soon as the stock apppreciated in considerable the insiders sold off significant amounts of their their holdings. A new report should be out this month which will tell how much and when they were bought. I agree with JPVMPH on what he said. It is not ludicrous to have this opinion because it is documented fact on file
with the SEC. I feel certain they are not doing anything illegal in what they are doing as this is their right to buy and sell as a insider and corporate officer. They are most likely legal in every way. Insider Trading is just a fact of life on Wall Street. I think you need to do some more homework! When the price and time is right for the company then the stock price will go up based on market experience.
