Well the volume will drive Intels response.

As we all know Kryotech will be selling 1Ghz boxes.
As the volumes will be low no body will adjust their pricing on servers etc.

Same for Intel.

AMD may ship somewhere between 100K to 1M K7's in Q4.

I don't see this as having any material effect on their pricing.
Particularly considering demand will be up 15% from a year ago and CPU competitors are less competitive.

Now if AMD can ship 5-6M K7's/qtr they have to drastically modify the pricing.

The high end desktop space is approx 12-14M pcs/qtr. So an additional .1-1M qty won't have a great impact IMHO.

Unless you think Intel management are completely dumb and even you haven't suggested that.
