Unacceptably emotional is a gross overstatement. Truth is. You two were saying what we all felt but couldn't bring ourselves to say. Yes, there were .......if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen remarks by a few. Problem was, is that you and L felt the heat and said so. Some of us, not all mind you, were putting asbestos uniforms on and battened down the hatches and damned the torpedoes etc.
