The old saying that "the first victim in war is
the truth" seems to hold here. I don't know what
to think anymore. The cheerleaders like Albright,
Cohen, and Jamie Shea make it sound like Yugoslavia
is going to break any minute. Of course, we thought
the same thing about Viet Nam in 1968. In fact, I
thought it was a rather strange coincedence that the
JNA is thought to be reduced by about 1/3. Wasn't
that the amount of damage done to the Vietnamese
fighters in 1968, about the time that Walter Cronkite
said that the war was "unwinable"?
