Re: "Until Intel suffers the consequences of their assault on AMD, they aren't going to let AMD be profitable. Maybe recent events are causing Intel's management to reconsider their scorched earth strategy?"

Scumbria, perhaps your memory is failing you again. It was AMD who began the predatory pricing policy. It is AMD who insists on undercutting Intel's price. For years people like you complained that Intel's prices were too high. You guys boasted that AMD would drive prices down to affordable levels. Well they did and they are. It is clear at this point that your real intention is to criticize Intel and you have now done it from both sides of the same argument. AMD sells at a loss by definition. That is predatory pricing by definition. The claims of the AMD faithful are that AMD sells every part they can make. If that's the case then they can charge a higher price and still sellout. Why don't they? Clearly because they must sell at bargain basement Kmart prices to stimulate demand. It's a continuous fire sale. Nobody wants AMD parts unless AMD wraps a $20 bill around them. Can't you get that through your head?
