It was AMD who began the predatory pricing policy. It is AMD who insists on undercutting Intel's price.

AMD would have been very happy to sell CPUs for $400, but Intel was unwilling to give up any market share. In order to avoid losing 20% market share, Intel took a 66% loss in desktop ASP (and lost the market share anyway.)

One of the stupidest business strategies I have ever heard of.
