An informative post from YAHOO:

>>Spoke w/ Howard in IR after the close.
by: georgemcelroy

I was at a payphone at a extremely busy intersection in
Northern California when I made the daily call to my on-line
broker (Bidwell) for a closing quote this afternoon (1PM PST). Needless to say, I probably aged 20 years after the news.

At that moment, I was so angry that I immediately placed a call to David Branson (using my calling card from the payphone). Unfortunately,
David was out of the office so I left a message indicating that I was disappointed in the recent performance of the stock. I also recommended that
IDT make a statement (prior to the earnings announcement)that the fundamentals remain sound. I know that Capital One issued a statement such
as this when
the financial stocks sharply declined back in October.

FYI..I have to say I have spoken with David directly in the past
and he's a very bright guy and a great addition to the team.
Given my past experiences, I would 'assume' that he's thinking
the same thing.

However, I was so outraged at that moment that I called back and asked to speak directly with Howard Jonas. I was connected to Howard (in
IR) and here is a paraphrased version of what he had to say.....

Recent Stock Decline do to:

1) Day Trading Activity
2) Margin Calls
3) Overall Market Trends

Recent Stock Decline NOT DO to:

1) Company Fundamentals (everything is ok)

Howard also mentioned that we will own 66% of the NTOP spinoff
(which we know about). I asked if IDT would issue a statement
tomorrow AM that the fundamentals remain solid and Howard mentioned that I contact David regarding the idea (which I had already done via
Voicemail). Finally, he stated to 'hang in there'.

If I had to interpret our discussion 'between the lines' I would guess that mgmt is really 'pissed off' that the stock is being manipulated by day
traders & margin calls. Also, I sensed a
feeling of confidence that mgmt truly feels that pending announcements & earnings will enhance shareholder value.

In closing, it may be good idea to contact David and ask that
the company issue a statement to support and stabilize the stock. Also, the recent decline of the stock is NOT RELATED to company
fundamentals.

PS - I apologize for any typos / spelling errors...I just got
home and was anxious to share this info...Feel free to
repost on other boards as necessary...I hope this was
useful...Thanks....g
