Richmond, BC, March 12 -- MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: MDSIF; TSE, ME: MMD) announced today that its UK division has signed a contract valued at approximately US$1 million with Copenhagen based Amager-Obro Taxis, for the implementation of MDSI's computerized taxi dispatch and management system.
MDSI's Advantex-Taxi system sends job details and information to fleet vehicles in a rapid wireless digital format, rather than the traditional voice over radio, dramatically speeding up job allocation and ride turnover. Erik Dysthe, MDSI Chairman & CEO, commented, ``Advantex-Taxi is the answer for conducting business in a highly competitive taxi marketplace.
