NOKIA believes the market for wireless devices such as palm-top
computers is set to boom, a senior Nokia executive said. Matti
Alahuhta, head of Nokia Mobile Phones division, told Reuters that
Nokia was positive about growth in that market due to strong sales
of its Communicator phone, which offers word processing, fax and
Internet access. Alahuhta hailed the entry of Japan's MATSUSHITA
into Symbian, a venture of three leading mobile phone makers and
palm-top computer maker Psion seeking to develop a global standard
