I'm new to this board but I have to admit I've been lurking around for the past several weeks. My reason for chiming in is to report on the OIA introductory seminar I attended today with 50 other potential online investors.

To say I was impressed is an understatment. For those of you who have not had an opportunity to attend a seminar I submit the following observations.

1) OIA is for real!!!

2) Their approach to investing uses an automated computer search engine for the best stocks which is comparable to some of the most rigorous systems used by professionals.

3) Through their propritary Pro Search Engine they are capable of providing information on 12,000 stocks to which they can apply 700 measeaured parameters (for you old statistcians thats 8,400,000 permutations).

4) This Pro Search Engine is contains 50 embeded financial web sites which feed in filtered information on stocks so that pertinent info you specify if updated in real time.

5) The system also provides exhaustive insider activity data to give insight to how serious these important buyers really are.

6) MACD charts to show stock price momentum.

7) Stochastics charts to give direction on when a stock is starting to overheat or is near its bottom.

8) Finally, trendlines for the moving averages to see when stocks begin to break through.

Total cost for 2 day full training seminar is $3,000. Monthly charge for online access to the data is $75.
IMHO this program looks to be worth every penney. I don't know about everyone else but I know that I am not an expert in finding good stocks and I always find myself unsure about my trades. I think that so far I have been somewhat lucky in that I have more than I started with. However ther have also been a number of stocks I sold too early, bought too late or held onto for too long.

I would love to hear comments from anyone out there who has been to an OIA intro seminar or similar program from another group. I've just about had my fill of newsletters and am hoping that this approach is not just another scheme.
I don't want end this post on a negative note but I've been burned before and this system almost looks too good to be true!!!
