NP says Acumen's Brian Pow could sell Infowave Infowave Wireless Messaging Inc IWM Shares issued 15,305,655 May 25 close $4.10 Wed 26 May 99 In the News The National Post reports in its Wednesday edition that there are some Canadian technology success stories that should command greater attention, says Brian Pow, senior technology analyst at Acumen Capital Finance Partners Ltd. in Calgary. The good news is that the market for North American technology stocks is finally returning to fundamentals. Mr. Pow believes it could be time to take some profits in Infowave Wireless Messaging Inc., which closed yesterday at $4.10. The company, based in Burnaby, B.C., makes software that enables Mac users to connect their computers to non-Apple printers. Infowave also has a wireless division that is for developing mobile computer software for wireless data communications. The stock shot up recently and "is ahead of the fundamentals," says Mr. Pow, who recommends that investors either sell the stock or hold it until the fundamentals catch up.
