Frank, I was sawing logs while you were out surfing!;-) Thought I'd take a snippet from the last MRV cc relating to FTTC, seems as though SR would possibly fit the, "optical transmission systems attached" phrase.
"....With the compounded growth of Internet users and Internet traffic, the last mile remains the bottleneck for accelerated deployment of Broadband Internet. Fiber has, and will continue to have, a clear advantage over copper wires. It delivers today higher bandwidth than Cable Modems and DSL. More importantly, once installed, it can scale in bandwidth, almost without limits, depending on the optical transmission systems attached. MRV is dead serious about maintaining its leading position in optical transmission for FTTC."
