The market is split on whether they will raise rates. I do not think they will. There has only been one real sign of inflation(core CPI). ALL other signs have been mixed. Commodities falling. Housing starts down(although many believe this is due to lack of supply).Durable goods down(mainly due to low orders for aircraft). Asia recovery slowing. Not enough inflation that I see. Others say that the Fed needs to stay ahead of the curve and raise rates to kill future inflation. Their statements at the last meeting seem to indicate this. IMO 40% chance of a hike. The next unemploymnet #s will be the real key.
