GE is trying to put off the inevitable by dragging things out. First they are petitioning for an "en banc" review of the 3 judge appellate decision by the entire 11 judge panel. If that fails, which it will, they will petition the Supreme Court for Certiorari which has about as much chance as OJ getting back with Hertz.

All that will take a couple or three months during which the interest keeps mounting at the rate of half a million a month. After that, ALL of the money will be paid in one big fat check. Then Toshiba will be dragged into court to get whipped on their infringement, including the open MRI patent. Then some more nightmares for GE. Hitachi and Siemens are looking VERY smart.... and the GE/Toshiba lawyers incredibly stupid.
