Jim: I don't know about the DOW going down a thousand points, but it appears that the nasdaq is heading lower. I have been watching the tape, and with ever leg down, a pause develops as if the mm are waiting for the day traders to step in. When the bids fail to materialize, the fall continues. It is kind of eerie. Makes you wonder, if a lot of the day traders haven't been wiped out. Unfortunately, the selloff is taking gold with it. Ken
