> When will Americans realise that there is no game as exciting as
soccer; you are always on the edge of your seat, because there could be a goal at
any moment. Yet, there are few goals, so when one is scored you go wild; it also
means that usually games are close.

This will happen when:

-Either the game is modified so they can allow the TV channels to advertize soft drinks and beer

OR

-The pace of immigration into the US quickens with a concerted effort of all the immigrants to increase the size of their families while the "locals" forget all about sex and devote their time to day trading.

The first signs of this happening will be when school cheerleaders will find it more cool to be dating a soccer player than dating a football/basketball/baseball player. Heck it would be a start if they prefer to date a soccer player than a wrestler.

In other words it will be quite a long time.

May I assume that the other 16% of fans are Liverpool fans?

Ohh, another way that soccer can get popular here is by accepting all the Kosovar Albanians into the US, give them a few years & they will be the biggest voting block

of course all of the above with a VBG
