Dan,
I am not necessarily trying to judge, except as to judging weather this would be right for me. I am not judging if this right for you, as I certainly can not do that. Only you can.
<<? Then as a matter of using the physical body as an example of the body of Christ, neither should any of the body of believers be divided.>>
I undrstand, but we are not talking about a physical corporal body, but a body of thought and belief. By stating that we should not be divided, that is, in efect, saying that you shouldn't disagree or therefore think for yourself.
<<Here again, what does Paul say? """I beseech you, BRETHREN..."" Who is he talking to? >>
Fair enough. but if he is only talking to fellow believers, he is still saying that you (felloe believers) shouldn't question, and shouldn't "seperate from the pack" philosophicly speaking.
As far as context, you may be right. I fully admit that I am much more familiar with the Old Testament, and keepoing things in context is much more difficult when it regards the New Testament. I am not purposely taking things out of context(if I am indeed doing so) but it is rather from a vantagepoint of being less familiar(not unfamiliar).
