I wouldn't think that it would be far fetched at all. HWP has (in rough
terms) 10 times the sales, income and market cap of COMS. Their reasons
for buying COMS would be about the same as my most likely suitor, IBM.
There are at least a dozen firms out there that would be a likely candidate
to take over COMS. Once you realize that with good management 3COM
can easily get to the $2.00 earnings level, you can see how much
COMS is currently undervalued and why its name has popped up as a
takeover candidate for more than a year.

.....Why wouldn't HP buy COMS.....
