Wireless data market; WAP:
My own sense (maybe I'm just pie-eyed) is that the wireless data market will be far broader than just professionals and high-end users, depending on where the carriers and providers fine-tune the price points and subscription charges for basic service and web/e-mail access. As the net becomes more of a staple in our daily lives and as an engine of commerce, why wouldn't the average individual (whoever he or she may be) be inclined to order from the GAP, collect e-mail from her son, or check out the Naz on the move. Obviously this depends on the protocols and web-access and web-browsing features that are capable of being made "mobile", but that technology will come just as voice-activated messaging will be perfected. jmho
On another topic, does anyone, Clark, Walt, engineer, straighlife or valueman, the usual suspects, have any sense of what the WAP crowd and Symbian thugs harmonization of their little technology for Psion's OS imply for CDMA in terms of interfaces, spectrum, chip rates or otherwise. Any thoughts, much appreciated.
