Do you mean a transducer to extract specific sub channels off the beam according to spectral signature? Doesn't it make sense that the premise should be on its own loop so that appliance interactivity could be achieved with controlled up access to the neighborhood or higher loops. Thus your telephone could talk through someone else's tv or PC. The usual application would be to control the premise loop from a central site like at PC. The PC delimits loading of the local loop with premise chatter and so would prohibit up insertion unless authorized.

I tried the left hand side myself and that lies ahead. Router loses its meaning in SR or has to be redefined. At the spinal backbone in theory all signals should be simultaneously loaded in the SR mega model. That requires bandwidth of the order 10,000 million terabytes in a fully loaded 100M subscriber multimedia interactive blowout.
