If you need to check into some code stuff -- look at developer.novell.com

They have all the information you'd need to work with NDS and Novell products. In their download section there is an entry named

Novell Single Sign-on Developer Component

You can download component details, software, sample code & documentation. You can subscribe to DeveloperNet for free to get this information. Other subscriptions include CD-ROMs and support but cost $$ (not much though).

I hope this helps and good luck!

ps- here's some more news regarding developing for NetWare
Dear Developer,

What's new in Novell development? For starters, the Novell Developer Kit developer.novell.com is growing to include IBM's WebSphere* Application Server for NetWare(r), Standard Edition. The Alpha version of WebSphere is being made available on the June edition of the Novell Developer Kit. WebSphere is an open, extensible development solution with a production-oriented focus on the servlet engine and Java* Server Pages.

It includes a secure, scalable runtime environment that supports HTTP, IIOP and Enterprise Java. Use WebSphere to connect enterprise data to the Web and make the transition from simple Web publishing to advanced Web applications.

WebSphere combines the control and portability of server-side
business applications with the performance and manageability of Java
technologies to offer you a comprehensive Web application platform for
powerful interaction with enterprise databases and transaction systems.

Novell Single Sign-on Components

Also new in the June release of the Novell Developer Kit, Novell Single Sign-on (SSO) components enable your applications to access Novell Directory Services (NDS) for authentication secrets using SecretStore. SSO-enabled applications retrieve secure login information from NDS, authenticating access without requiring manual interaction from users.

Interaction between your application and the SSO service allows your
solution to authenticate securely and seamlessly. Authentication secrets are encrypted during transmission using the Novell International Cryptographic Infrastructure (NICI).

For more information about WebSphere Application Server for NetWare, the Novell SSO API set, and other enhancements to the Novell Developer Kit, please visit developer.novell.com.
