Well I think the entire notion of "portals" is dubious. There are a few strong portals and those are yahoo and the front-ends to the broadband access - excite, etc. Everybody else that calls themselves a portal is starting to really annoy me. E-trade, mktw and tscm all valued as "portals" - ok, I guess every content site is a portal then?
