RE: Intel and rumors This rumor happens every May. The typical slowdown in 2Q sometimes takes people by surprise (I have no idea why, given that it happens every year, just about), and the warning rumors flourish. Some people are trying to blame Drew Peck of Cowen this time, but that seems unfounded. The starting point of these rumors is almost always on the buy side, not the sell side, and that is the case this time. It is small consolation, but the only thing to do is wait a couple of weeks. If there's no warning, by the second week of June the rumors will disappear. (Edit--assuming that Intel doesn't preannounce an upside surprise either.)
