I've been lurking for a bit and do have to say that, being a web builder for about 4 years (old by web standards :)) Fusion is a great tool. Coming from a DTP and design background, Fusion was a great surprise for ease-of-use and strength. I tried FP and found it, for me, unintuative and didn't like the proprietary components you are forced to use.

Fusion is great for designing and building sites. I can do stuff in less time, get better results, and don't have to hand code. A chore I DON'T miss.

Most of the time, when I talk to people who say they don't like Fusion, I find they are hand coders that want to get dirty. That's fine, but I don't have time for that. I build sites for customers and want to make money. For me, and many other builders I know, Fusion is a blessing from above (sorry, that was sorta corny wasn't it).

Anyway, I think it is a great tool. I've tried Dreamweaver. Too cludgy for me. And as a software engineer buddy says, "Try the 10 minute rule. If you can get a piece of software to do what it is supposed to within 10 minutes, you've got something." FP, DreamWeaver and Drumbeat didn't make it. Fusion did.

Just my .02 cents.

David
