SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 12, 1997--Advanced Computer Communications (ACC), a
Newbridge Networks affiliated company and leading provider of network access solutions, and Boca Research
(NASDAQ:BOCI) Wednesday announced that they have signed an agreement to exchange technology, co-market products
and build a strategic relationship.

This agreement creates a relationship which complements both companies' strengths. Boca Research is a worldwide leader in
desktop consumer-based modems; ACC is a technology leader in remote access products for carriers and large corporations.

This partnership also combines ACC's core competencies as a developer of remote access technology and provider of
ongoing customer support, installation and service with Boca's high capacity, cost-effective manufacturing, procurement and
worldwide distribution capabilities. ACC and Boca can each leverage each other's core competencies to enhance and broaden
their existing products.

"We are delighted to be working with Boca Research," said Tom Goodwin, ACC's senior vice president of sales, marketing
and service. "Their large installed base and well-earned reputation for leading-edge data communications products enhances
ACC's global position."

"ACC products are an important addition to our portfolio," explained Charles Kenmore, senior vice president/general manager
for Boca Research. "This partnership is part of a strategic initiative to ensure the growth of our business. Our goal is to evolve
Boca into a full complement data communications company from our current position as a hardware provider.

"The network access market is a critical element of today's business environment which is driving the increased demand for
reliable end-to-end product solutions. ACC's excellent product family allows us to further our objective to meet this demand
with a comprehensive offering of products that optimize network availability and performance."

There will be a news conference and ceremonial signing of this joint technology agreement at CeBIT, the world's largest
computer trade show, in Hanover, Germany, on March 14, 1997, at 9:15 a.m. in Hall 8EG, booth E37.
