Ish, I will lessen your alarm by saying that I usually spend between 8 and 20 dollars, closer to 8 if that will do. I drink for the "nectar", not the alcohol...I especially like German Moselle wines (mainly spateleses and ausleses do nicely), Hungarian Tokay, vintage port, amontillado sherry, sauternes, and beaujolais.
