Westmoreland & others; Nasty slump we've been in recently. I'd love to see Dell break out of it; and break out soon. But PR is not going to do the trick unless there is something of substance behind the gimmickry. These past 10 years are based on performance, pure and simple. The times Dell performance failed, the stock stumbled. When Dell performed and produced the numbers, the stock flew. Image is NOT everything, despite what Andre says. I feel it is commendable that Mr. Dell does not dance to the music of the market and come out to "defend his company" every time some anal-ist or reporter murmurs some loaded, misguided, bit of rhetoric. I'd much rather he stay the course he has been on and continue growing the business through hard work and vision. JMO. regards; jt
