They aren't saying what the clock speed is but what I am saying is that they will get market share because they are compatible with a legacy motherboard, et cetera. That socket is on PCI bus and will never be able to compete with Intel's plug-in and the will never be able to compete with Merced or the hybrid graphics systems being developed as we speak. However, I suspect they will do very well provided Intel doesn't drop the price of Pentium 200 too much. The point is that there is a short-term window for AMD to really rake in some dough. Now, the chip might even be better than the Pentium II but that isn't meaningful outside the daughterboard which is housing it.
