Rocketman, couldn't agree more...this pricing action is meaningless if you have a multi-year perspective.

Remember what Microsoft stock has done over 10 years. We may look back at this time and wonder why we didn't buy even more.

In the short term...When everyone says the net (and AOL) is dead, then it's time to go in the opposite direction from the herd. And the institutions have to support some of these stocks just so their positions don't melt.

And while I'm rambling...I wonder if the Fed will refrain from "actually tightening" due to their caution about Y2K's impact on the economy...they can continue to exert Fed influence by sharing their concerns publicly. IMHO

Maybe we can actually resume the bull market in tech once the fundamentals become the focus again.
