Short numbers gone up as expected earlier. Now, here is the possible reason for the call activity and the price behaviour that we are noticing. Knowing that somebody will buy Divi someday, you know what my reaction was? Should buy the calls. Which calls to buy? Don't know when it will happen. So buy the cheapest call within striking distance. If selling doesn't come thru' this month, you lose a little premium but if it does come thru' you strike it rich. It didn't happen last month. So the person who has the information has rolled/is rolling it into June. Whoever is covering the calls bought some shares to back it up driving the price up. Once the options expired worthless, they sold the stock driving the price back down. This may repeat till Divi gets sold out or come out and says that it is not up for sale. Let's watch it carefully this time and see if the price is driven up higher till the options expiry.
