ztect, if by SI you mean all the BB stock thread, that is one thing, but go to threads like RMBS, CYMI, VECO, AXC, PROG, VLNC, AMAT and many other and you will find well defined pros and cons ( the later, always a minority <g>, independently of the stock's prospect or current trend), and even some times pros turning cons and vice versa, all without a single personal attack, well, a friendly jab here and there when a "prognostication" proved wrong. Gore's characterization of SI indicates that he frequents only few threads of companies whose financial survival is far from clearly evident.
SI is still an excellent place to exchange information and attempt to analyze situations rationally, IMHO.
Look at this thread, do you think that without this thread a grass root movement to get a seat on the BOD of TSIG would have had any real chance? This thread is turning into a factor that Gordon must contend with next time he reprices his options twice, all within a space of few months.
