Jack, yes, there are some things that just make them mad. I'm picking up a new carry toy tomorrow that could end up my butt too. I like large bores to carry when I can wear a coat, but dragging the required weight around in the summer and hiding it is sometimes difficult. I bought a .38 special S&W Model 337 2" snub. The weight of that airweight piece is only 11.2 oz unloaded. There's even a pin in the butt that lets you tie a string and hang it around your neck like a medal under your shirt. It also slips into a jeans pocket without anyone being aware of anything there, worst case if someone notices the slight bulge I'll just tell 'em I'm happy to see 'em. <VBG> I'm not overjoyed with the limited energy from a .38 P+ in a snub, but the compromise may be worth it. I hope it just doesn't anger an assailant where I end up with the toy stuck up my ass. <VBG>
