The DELL Consumer Division is ramping up Big Time..!! I'm not sure that's good news - might be good for the top line but does not leverage DELL's model well (almost no use for BTO capability, mostly sold through retail where DELL has little presence, cut-throat pricing will depress ASPs and margins...). I would think that plan only works if they do an even more rapid expansion in high margin products of some type, say enterprise for example but there are others. DELL will have the same problem with their on-line gigabuys stuff - margins are different. Not to say that they can't do a different but successful business that way, but it will be a painful transition as viewed in the financials. I hope they have a bigger rabbit in the hat.
