Muhamad [peace be upon him, and more phonetic spelling as well] means 'praised' as in 'praised one' ... 'ali' is just 'the' in english, I believe ... often contracted to 'al' .... which is why we have so many words in english derived through latin or spanish from arabic ... like algebra, alcohol, alkali, alfalfa, alcove, albacore, albatross, etc .... and khan means ruler, yes .... they are all three commonly used as names, though. Michael, btw, means 'who is like God?' [don't know about Carmichael - 'car who is like God?' -g-] ... and Marco/Marcus/Marcos means 'polite' if derived from Aramaic, and 'warlike' in classical Greek [from the god Mars, i presume].
Don't know about Tastes, Likes, or Chicken .... Mohammad Ali Khan will be needing a new name after messing with those people, how about Hides Like Dust Mite?
[edit] - no, i take that back about 'Ali', this site says it means [ah yes, but in what language??] 'noble, sublime' - babynames.com
M.A.K. = Praised Noble Ruler, then ... -g- |
