I was in Japan from March 1st thru the 11th, and was blown away, when I finally saw an Asian Wall Street Journal the last day I was there. I had figured it had perhaps dropped in spurts of 2-3 points over the week, as I knew their 3rd qtr report was due out soon. It wasn't until
tonight when I went to the library to look at back issues (I had stopped my home delivery service of the WSJ while I was away), that I
saw the entire loss occurred on one day, with volumes approaching 20%
of the stock outstanding. I still can't understand someone unloading
at that price, even if shorting the stock. I had previously read that
their 3rd & 4th qtrs are never as good, every year, as the 1st two. I
still feel it's a hell of a growth stock, with good margins, and a very small amount of shares outstanding. The new insider tax change
doesn't take effect until May 1st, so I still have to wonder where that loss came from...a $.25EPS vs. a $.26EPS year earlier, just doesn't do it for me...
