Having accounts with online discount firms and the 'white shoe'firms, I can state that I have had lousy fills with both and good fills with both. Quantity doesn't seem to be the issue. Of course, I'm not buying 100K+ shares of $50-100 stocks either. I definitely come out ahead with the online accounts. Will soon be switching to them solely. FWIW. The worst fills are the OTC.BB trades ....they must cover those order flow payments, after all. Looking forward to the day direct client to client trades are the norm...if it ever comes to pass.
Best, Savant
