Mariner...Interesting post and thanks: As a new visitor recently invited here by a thread member, I was trying to familiarize myself with the thread specifics and was hesitant to post the very same question you raise here. If I understand the terminology correctly CKFR would fall under the heading of consideration for King status. Currently only 5% of the market has been tapped and Checkfree controls 80% of the business. My rationale is as follows...By using the growth in online brokerages as a catalyst is is reasonable to assume that more and more individuals are managing their finances comfortably on line. As the comfort and confidence level rises, the natural leap to online banking will be made. As one poster on the CKFR thread so appropriately put it...follow the money.
