Took a look at marketguide.com for Ampex info and found the following stats:

12 mo trailing #'s
PE of 23
Book value of -2
Sales per share $2
market cap 298M
shares 45.01
return on assets 14.66%
cash per share .53

so if you take price of 6.63 - .53 cash per share, you have a price of $6.10, at a
trailing pe of 21.8,
forward pe of 10.7,
98 pe of 5.7
(all this w/o even Maxtor's KM eps included, or Mitsu lawsuit added in)
