But so was IBM in its heyday, And it's a slouch now! Have you looked at a 3 year chart of IBM lately? How many Intel chips are in a PalmPilot or a cellular phone? How many of those devices can you buy from Dell? Have you checked out Dell's new site at gigabuys.com ? How many of those devices, other hardware, software, etc can you buy from Dell there. P.S. The main site Dell screens are linked to the gigabuys site as well. I haven't looked at NTAP very closely, but isn't everybody getting into its business lately including CPQ and Dell with the new software from Novell? And CSCO has had the Data networking world all to itself? Its Stratacom purchase has been a disaster. It still has nothing in the ATM WAN market sector. And Lucent with ASND, Nortel with Bay are hot on its heels. I wouldn't count either of your selections out by a long shot. But neither is invincible. FWIW, Ian.
