Amy,
I believe it's better for management to spend their time on the business, rather than rumors.
I almost always agree with that. However, the analysts have gotten into a habit of piling on Intel mid quarter, quarter after quarter with the fears of making the numbers, and the stock gets trashed big time. I don't know, do you ride this kind of crap out forever? Like I said yesterday, Ruettgers of EMC, who's considered one of the best, doesn't hesitate (OK, he came out twice, not every single time) to go public when he hears stuff that's flat out wrong.
People say buy on the dips. Not everyone can just buy more. Some may be heavily weighted enough in Intel, or out of cash.
Guess I've flogged this subject to death enough. Better day today (so far).
